Robert Ortiz, OD
Dr. Robert Ortiz is a board certified optometric physician that specializes in comprehensive eye examinations and the management of ocular diseases. Dr. Ortiz fits many types of contact lenses including specialty contact lenses for corneal diseases such as Keratoconus, Sjögren’s syndrome, corneal transplant and LASIK complications. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Dr. Ortiz is fluent in English and Spanish.
He attended Christopher Columbus Catholic High School and obtained his undergraduate degree from Florida International University with extensive academic and personal accomplishments.
Dr. Ortiz was awarded his Doctor of Optometry in 2012 from Inter-American University School of Optometry in Puerto Rico. During his academic career, he completed several internships specializing in dry eyes and, anterior and posterior ocular diseases. He is currently certified by the National Board of Optometry, the Florida Board Licensure and is a certified sub-investigator involved in several research studies at MedEye Associates.
