Patrisa Tare, OD

Dr. Tare earned her bachelor’s degree in social studies with a minor in psychology from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She continued her studies with a bachelor’s in vision science from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, in 2005. Dr. Tare earned her doctorate degree in optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 2007. She later completed a residency with emphasis in ocular disease at Beraja Medical Institute.

Throughout her career, Dr. Tare has worked in some of the top ophthalmology practices in South Florida focusing diligently on primary care and ocular disease. She held the position of associate professor for DO ophthalmology residents at Beraja Medical Institute, where she lectured on optics and pediatrics. Additionally, Dr. Tare took on the role of program director for the OD Externship Program from 2012-2014. She later became the subinvestigator for many Glaukos Studies. The work entailed in-depth analysis of glaucoma and ensuring that patients met the proper criteria for study enrollment.

Dr. Tare finds great fulfillment in her profession and truly enjoys interacting and helping her patients in any capacity available. She was a regular guest on TeleMiami channel, where she answered medical questions live and advised viewers on all eye-related conditions and ailments.
